Rowing has been a fundamental part of the sporting community at Wesley College for more than 140 years.

Our extensive cocurricular rowing program has inspired many girls and boys to pursue life out on the water, collaborate as a team and better their health and fitness. As well as those who row purely for enjoyment, Wesley has provided rowers for national and international competitions, including the Olympics.

To complement our passion for the sport, and to support our students, Wesley College owns a boatshed that can be hired by members of the community. The Yarra Boathouse is located in a delightful bend of the Yarra River, near Herring Island and Como Park, and is available for use when not being used for rowing training.

This venue is ideal for fellow rowing enthusiasts and those looking for the ideal space for awards nights or other special events. The function area has a spectacular view of the Yarra and contains a kitchen, tables and chairs and can comfortably accommodate 60 people.
