Wesley Early Learning Glen Waverley Campus

Imaginations run free at the Glen Waverley Campus Early Childhood Learning Centre.  With purpose-built spaces for children to play, learn and build friendships, the campus boasts light-filled classrooms, a new early year's playground for experimental, sensory, and imaginative play-based learning across its natural and built surfaces.

Children pick fresh fruit in our orchard and come together as a community on the outdoor stage. Our youngest learners expand their learning in the library, art centre, music school and sports hall, accessing the world-class resources of the campus.

Onsite Swimming Lessons

Preschool swimming lessons, run by qualified swimming instructors from the Nunawading Swimming Club, are held once a week for 4-year-olds in the campus pool and during the school day.

Children are divided into small groups according to their developmental ability in the water and learn water safety and essential swimming skills such as depth perception, floating, kicking, independent swimming and breath control in fun and age-appropriate lessons.

Children develop their confidence in the water and by the end of the year are ready and looking forward to continuing their lessons in Prep.

Visiting the school is one of the best ways to see if it will suit your child. On Wesley campus tours, you will get a feel for the school, meet our skilled teachers and students and see the facilities. And you can ask as many questions as you need.

Meet the ECLC Coordinator: Nicole Doherty

Nicole DohertyWhat are your qualifications?

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.

How would you describe the GW ECLC environment?

Our spaces are designed to reflect the children’s voices, showcasing children’s learning
and a sense of identity. Our  beautiful outdoor space, nestled in a bush-like setting, is
one of the unique features of our campus.

How do you help children become ‘school-ready’?

We tailor Individual Learning Plans for each child, ensuring they meet the learning
outcomes outlined in the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
Literacy and mathematical concepts are embedded into their everyday learning environment to ensure they have these important foundational skills.

Why choose GW ECLC over other child care?

Our holistic, play-based approach empowers children to become internationally-minded and discover new ideas. Our specialist programs, Perceptual Motor Program and onsite swimming lessons are unique opportunities which enrich the experience and set the children up for overall success in their schooling journey.

‘At the Glen Waverley ECLC, each day is filled with lots of activities and learning programs. You can tell the ECLC teachers really care, they take the time to get to know your child’s interests and support them to develop them further.’
