Creating more scholarships and securing Wesley’s future
The Foundation is most grateful to the increasing number of alumni, current and past parents, staff, and friends of the College who have remembered Wesley in their Wills. Many prefer to direct their bequest to our Scholarships program to enable more worthy students to attend Wesley, while others are happy to leave it to the Principal to direct their bequest to the area of greatest need.
Becoming a member of our Bequest Society provides opportunities to enjoy a range of interesting, bespoke events, activities, talks and special behind-the-scenes tours. It’s a great way of meeting people with similar interests and maintaining Wesley connections. We have arranged a full schedule of events for the year and propose continuing our popular online presentations.
This year’s events include: A Trip to Venice; The Jewels of a Modern-Day Princess; Walking Tour of Docklands and Afternoon Tea at the new Marriott Hotel; Presentation on Faberge; Wesley Choral Event at The Edge, Federation Square; NGV Winter Masterpieces Exhibition Morning Tea and Tour; Maritime Seafarers Mission Tour and Art Exhibition; and our Annual Members Christmas Lunch, to name just a few. Our Patrons, Susie Rodgers-Wilson and Peter Boag (OW1963), look forward to meeting members and their guests at some of these events.
Bequests have made a significant contribution to the College over many years. At a time of funding uncertainty, they’re playing an increasingly important role in assisting to secure the future of our great school. We welcome all inquiries and stress that bequests of any quantum are greatly appreciated.
