Navigating Creativity

As education becomes increasingly shaped by curriculum coverage and outcomes, we are inviting educators from all sectors to take a different stance and join us in reimagining what teaching and learning can be.

On Saturday 17 October, we're proud to host, Project Zero Australia Network’s free conference ‘Navigating Creativity: From Slow Looking to Bold Thinking’, at our Elsternwick Campus as part of the ReimaginED Festival of Learning.

Hear from two keynote speakers:

Nathalie A. Ryan, Senior Educator at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, and instructor at Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Nathalie will explore the feeling of ‘awe’ and how it helps teachers and students thrive.

Andrew Pennay, Director of Creative Arts at Brisbane Girls Grammar School, will reveal how creative thinking can move from an occasional spark to a daily culture, and what it means for how we design learning.

Then choose from six practical workshops, including ‘Beyond the Spoon: Teaching for Understanding’, led by @Cameron Paterson, Wesley’s Director of Learning. In this interactive workshop, Cameron will explore what it means to understand and how we can create classrooms where thinking is visible, valued and actively cultivated.

Workshops are filling quickly, so register now.
