Today, Holi is celebrated all over the world, and on a sunny Friday afternoon, what better way to end a school week? Gathered on the Drennen lawn, the Junior School community came together to celebrate our vibrant community through colour, fun and joy.
Year 5 student Hira rose to the challenge of addressing the Junior School about the Hindu festival of Holi and its message of ‘light over darkness’.
Guided by Campus Chaplain Bradon ‘Chappie’ French, Middle School Leaders and Prefects led fun activities including balloon basketball, obstacle courses and a dance party, before students were joyfully doused in coloured powder.
Year 12 Prefect Samarah appreciated the opportunity to inspire and to build relationships with younger children in a fun and active way.
The Middle School Leaders were also inspirational in the way they led their activities, encouraging and motivating the younger students to participate and get colourful!
