The annual APS Golf Day, held at Metropolitan Golf Club in May, brought together former students from across the APS community. Unfortunately, this year’s event was played in difficult conditions, with wind gusts exceeding 50km/h making for a challenging day on the course.
The Old Wesley team was represented by a passionate and enthusiastic group of players, but despite a spirited effort, was unable to improve on last year’s result, with St Kevin’s taking out this year’s title.
While Old Wesley finished at the lower end of the leaderboard, there were still some standout individual performances. Nick Shortis (OW1995) claimed Nearest the Pin honours, while Toby Loakes (OW1993) took out the Longest Drive competition. Well done, gents.
This year, our team was two players short, so if you are reading this and would like to participate next year, please contact the OWCA office to be added to the email list. It’s a fantastic day and will be held at the Metropolitan Golf Club again next year.
