The 2026 season is underway! From April to August, Old Wesley runners tackle a great mix of on- and off-road races, with distances from 3km to 21km – so there’s an option for everyone, whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply keen to get moving.

OW Cross Country competes against 11 other APS clubs across 12 events throughout the season. Five of these events include team scoring, where runners’ results combine to count toward the club’s overall points total. The club is aiming to build on the momentum of recent seasons and put together another competitive year in 2026.

2025 delivered some terrific results, with the OW women’s relay team winning the Tan Track Relay and the club also taking the team win at the Brighton 8km. Across the season, OW finished fifth overall in the club championship – an improvement on the year before and a strong showing for a smaller club.

New runners are always welcome. Whether you’re a Collegian, a current student, or a family member of a Collegian, you’re invited to join the OW crew. There’s no pressure to run every event – it’s simply a great way to stay fit, get out and enjoy the company of a friendly group.

For recent school leavers, OW Cross Country is a great way to stay connected with Wesley running while building your fitness alongside familiar faces (and plenty of new ones). As an added incentive, the annual registration fee is waived for runners under 20, making it even easier for younger athletes to get involved.
