Whatever's sitting in your garage – a weekend sports car, a lovingly restored classic, a modern muscle machine, or even a motorbike that hasn't seen a decent road in months, the Collegians Car Club exists for one simple reason: to get it out and the pistons moving.
The club has grown to over 50 members, bringing with them a wonderfully diverse array of vehicles that were on full display at our recent ‘Show and Shine’ event at the Glen Waverley Campus. A fantastic morning that reminded all of us just how much passion sits quietly within this community. The ‘Show and Shine’ event will be returning in February 2027.
But this event is only half of the story. The real joy comes from the drives themselves, with two fantastic events on our 2026 calendar.
Our first drive on 19 June took us through the Yarra Valley to the Launching Place Home Hotel – an historic, locally owned pub sitting opposite the Yarra River and adjacent to the Warburton Rail Trail. The venue is owned and run by Neil Shankly (OW1982), making it an even more special destination.
Our Christmas Drive on 6 December promises to take on an entirely different character, winding through the historic Mount Macedon region and across some of Victoria’s finest hill country before finishing at Hotel Trentham, owned and operated by former NBA player and Australian basketball legend, Chris Anstey.
You don't need to be a member to join us on a drive – all members of the community are warmly invited to come along and be part of the day. Bring a friend, bring the family… bring anyone who loves a great road and good company.
