During the month of May, we were thrilled to welcomed five students from Mayo College, Ajmer, India to Wesley College Melbourne for the inaugural exchange between our two schools.

Based at our Glen Waverley Campus, the students quickly immersed themselves in classes, cocurricular activities and everyday life at Wesley, connecting with their Wesley Exchange buddies and engaging with students from the Senior School and our boarding community.

They experienced some Aussie classics - a tour of the MCG, a night of bowling and of course, a BBQ dinner! Other adventures included trips to Lochend, Chum Creek and Clunes.

‘I didn’t anticipate how quickly we would bond as a group,’ said Exchange Buddy Audrey (Year 10), one of four Wesley students who will travel to Mayo College later this year as part of the return visit.
‘We found more common ground than differences and I feel proud to have walked beside them as they experienced Wesley College/Aussie life. I am much more prepared and excited for my visit now and know this will be an experience I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.’
