Wesley College has a long and proud history of military service and community engagement, so it was fitting that our new St Kilda Road Campus Marching Band made its debut at the 2025 Anzac Day Commemoration parade.
The ensemble brought colour, music and solemn tribute to this important national occasion. With instruments ranging from flute to sousaphone, the band reflected the diversity and unity of our Wesley community.

Drum Major and staff member Harrison Merrifield captured the spirit of the moment: ‘The marching band stands as a fitting tribute to Wesley College’s heritage of service and our commitment to developing well-rounded students. Through music, our students are learning the values of discipline, collaboration and community - echoing the spirit of those who came before them.’
Year 11 student Martina (alto saxophone) said, ‘I feel incredibly proud and humbled to have represented our community at such a significant event. I hope this is the start of a new tradition.’
