The 2025 running season is now underway. The season commenced with a 5km run at Scotch in April and continues with regular runs every 2-3 weeks at different locations around Melbourne until September.

The OW Cross Country team competes against 11 other clubs with run distances ranging from 4km to 21km. Five of the events, including two relays, have a team format.

In these events our combined OW team results count towards the overall club championship. In 2024 our Div 1 team finished a very solid fifth in the championship and our Women’s team went even better and finished in third. Over 2025 we are looking to build on these results.

Adam Pyke (OW2013) had another amazing season in 2024, winning seven events and taking out his fifth ‘Athlete of the Year’ award for the overall competition.

We're always looking for new and returning runners to the club. Whether you're an OW, a current student, or a family member of an Old Collegian, everyone is welcome to join us for a run. You don't have to attend every event - we're all about having fun, staying and connecting with fellow runners.

OWCA Cross Country runners

Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out, our events have something for everyone, including optional shorter runs to cater to all abilities. We would love you to come and be part of our community!

For recent school leavers, joining OW Cross Country provides an excellent opportunity to stay connected with Wesley running. Plus, the annual registration fee is waived for runners under 20 years of age.
