Founders’ Day Dinner

The Elsternwick Middle School Choir was a triumph at this year’s Founders’ Day Dinner at the Regent Plaza Ballroom

This year’s Founders’ Day Dinner was sensational! Returning to the Regent Plaza Ballroom after nearly 20 years was an excellent choice embraced by young and old alike. The excitement as guests gathered on Collins Street and descended into a theatrical purple wonderland doubled when the Elsternwick Middle School Choir appeared as if by magic to lead the room in 'The Best School of All'.

The President of the OWCA, Kate Evans (OW1998), welcomed guests, highlighting the recent achievements of the OWCA, the benefits of remaining connected through OWCA social channels and through OWConnect and its business directory. Kate also recognised and thanked the strong presence of so many engaged affiliate groups who had formed tables this year. Apologies were received from the Principal and others who were isolating with Covid.

The dance floor was packed when 5-piece band ‘Club Sonic’ delivered on the entertainment

Great food and wine, a dazzling and flawless band and plenty of time for catching up with friends across the decades made the evening truly memorable. When the school singing began, staff and those attending for the first time were thrilled as the roof was raised by OWs, their love of Wesley revealed.

The live media feed on giant screens and the photo booth were a huge hit with guests
