Australia Day Honours

On Australia Day, the Australian Government recognises Australians who have served and contributed significantly to the community. Each year, many members of the Wesley community are deserving recipients of Australia Day Honours including past and present staff members, parents and alumni.


These members of the Wesley community were recognised by the Australian Government for their outstanding achievements and service:

OFFICER (AO) IN THE GENERAL DIVISION

Ms Jane Caroline HANSEN — Past Parent
For distinguished service to the community, to education and cultural institutions, and through philanthropic support for charitable foundations.

Professor John Michael PERMEZEL (OW1971) — Past Parent
For distinguished service to medicine, and to medical education, in the fields of obstetrics and gynaecology, and to professional colleges.

Professor Rachel Lindsey WEBSTER — Past Parent, Member of the Wesley College Council
For distinguished service to education in the field of astrophysics, to astronomical research, and to young women scientists.
