Divers and swimmers pool their effort

Wesley divers and swimmers gave their all at the APS Combined Swimming and Diving meet at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre at the close of Term 1.  Placing second overall, the Girls Swim team got off to a cracking start with top three placings in the first 12 events. The relays saw a tight tussle all night between Wesley’s swimmers and the Caulfield Grammar team. Finishing consistently in the top three was the key to Wesley’s strong team effort for second place.

The Girls Diving team placed fourth overall, with five top three placings.

The Boys Swim team produced some strong performances in the breaststroke relays and top three placings in 12 events. Oliver Nash placed first in the Open 100 metre freestyle, 50 metre butterfly and 200 metre individual medley. The Boys Diving team placed seventh overall, with two top three placings.

Congratulations to all members of the Wesley diving and swimming squads at the meet.
