Geography Competition

Wesley College has been recognised as the highest achieving school in Victoria in this year’s Australian Geography Competition organised by the Royal Geographical Society of Queensland.All our Year 7 to 10 students undertaking Individuals and Societies participated in the competition along with more than 125 of our Year 11 and 12 students in VCE or IB Geography.


Wesley students achieved 52 High Distinctions, 67 Distinctions and 112 Credits across Years 7 to 12.

Four students, Jaspar, Leo, Anton and Rose, achieved in the top one per cent in Australia; quite an achievement!

As well as participating in the Australian Geography Competition, our senior geographers have been busy in the field this year. Various classes completed fieldwork and assessments in places such as Kinglake, Bacchus Marsh, Werribee River, Melbourne CBD and Phillip Island.
