The Generations in Jazz music event held at Mount Gambier, brings together close to 5,000 students from across the country, including 145 Wesley students, to compete in their various ensemble sections. We are very proud of the achievements of our Wesley musicians, and all who took part.

Congratulations to:
- Wesley’s Show Band - Winner in Division 2.1
- Jazz Choir - Second place in Division 2
- Harpo Barrett (Year 11) - Place winner in Division 1 Super Band
- James La Greca (Year 12) and David Cui (Year 10) - Place winners in Division 2 Super Band
- Three Stage Bands in the top 20 across Australia including 7th in Division 1
- Ted Joyner Big Band, Jazz Combo and Stage Band - Achieved their personal bests

Well done to all of these students for their dedication in the lead up to these competitions, and to the wonderful way in which they represented Wesley College over the entire weekend.

Students also enjoyed listening to their peers and to some of the world’s best musicians compete in a series of amazing concerts and workshops. The 30th Anniversary Concert, held on Saturday night, included the full Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and was especially exciting.
