Wesley students go to Space School: Houston Association for Space and Science Education (HASSE)

Wesley students go to Space School

Our first group of intrepid Wesley Middle School student astronauts have returned from The Houston Association for Space and Science Education (HASSE) space school. The group’s first journey outside of the gravitational reaches of Melbourne, was undertaken at Houston, Texas, and Huntsville, Alabama, USA for two weeks. Students and staff from all three Wesley campuses toured NASA facilities, conducted space mission simulations and performed scientific experiments.

Integral to the program was applying STEM skills to problem-solving, creative and critical thinking, and effective team work.

The HASSE space school is one of the outstanding opportunities at Wesley where students ‘learn beyond the classroom’.

Hear from our students as they recount their most memorable experiences.
