National Simultaneous Storytime

Wesley’s Junior School libraries all counted down to the hour of 11.am on National Simultaneous Storytime day to jump into an enthusiastic rendition of The Cow Tripped over the Moon - this year’s chosen book. Classrooms, schools and public libraries from all over Australia read the same story at the same time, to promote and celebrate national literacy in this annual event.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to practise the simple joy of listening and reading great stories. Students were excited to wear their cow masks during Storytime and create their own finger puppets featuring characters from the book.

This event was a lot of fun and enjoyed by all our Junior School students. Our library looks forward to running this event again in 2018!
