Dr Siva Kumari visits Wesley

Last month, the Director General of the International Baccalaureate (IB), Dr Siva Kumari visited Wesley College to speak directly to students in Years 6-12 students. Students who study the IB learn critical thinking skills and become internationally-minded people who learn to respect themselves, others, and the world around them.

Dr Kumari is visiting IB schools across the world this year to gauge students and teachers’ views on the IB program.

Students from the Senior and Middle Schools were invited to ask questions about the IB. They engaged in a lively discussion with Dr Kumari about scoring, workloads, personal projects and the IB learner profiles.

As a leading IB school that offers the IB program in the Junior, Middle and Senior years, this was an invaluable experience for students to contribute to the development of the IB program.
