Phoebe Andrews wins in Victorian Gymnastics Championships
Congratulations to Phoebe Andrews who competed in the Victorian Gymnastics Championships International Level 7 program at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Parkville. Phoebe placed first in the all around event, earning her the title of Victorian Champion IL-7. The Championships were held over two days and included a team event, individual apparatus events and an all around event (combining all performances across both days).
Phoebe says, ‘I feel happy that all my hard work has paid off. I also feel proud because I have the determination to do well in this sport. I think that if you try your best to do something well, you will achieve it’.

Phoebe’s Waverley Team also placed first individually and she placed seventh on vault; fourth on bars; second on beam and second on floor. Her consistent, strong and focused performance across two six-hour days of competition was remarkable and handed her the Victorian Champion title. We are very proud of her effort, sportsmanship and dedication.
Phoebe’s ambition is to compete in gymnastics at the highest level: ‘One day I want to go to the Olympics. I will never give up my dreams’.
