Medal Swoop

More than 40 athletes represented Wesley at the Victorian All Schools' Track and Field Championships, held at Lakeside Stadium in early November. The competition was the culmination of the year’s activities for Victoria’s elite young athletes, with entrants ranging from under 14 to the under 20 age groups.

An outstanding 18 medals were won by Wesley students, amongst many other impressive performances by all of our competing athletes.

Special mention must be made of our athletes who won two medals in their respective races - Sophie O’Sullivan (pictured above) who won gold in the Under 15 800m and 1500m, Danielle Shaw who won gold in the Under 18 hurdles and bronze in the 100m and Ace Buck who won silver in both the Under 15 800m and 1500m races.
