Geography rocks

Wesley College students, pictured above on a recent field trip, recently tested their geographical skills and knowledge in the 2015 Australian Geography Competition. Many students from the Middle and Senior Schools chose to enter, testing their knowledge against over 76,000 entrants Australia-wide. The competition aims to encourage students of all ages to develop an interest in geography and reward student excellence.

St Kilda Road Head of Campus, Richard Brenker said, “Geography competitions allow students to expand their knowledge of the world and all its complexities. In an increasingly globally connected world an understanding of the characteristics and patterns observed on the earth, its people and their activities is more relevant and useful than ever before.”

Congratulations to all students who participated in the competition, in particular the 68 outstanding students who received distinctions and high distinctions.
