First Victorian excellent rating

Wesley College is delighted to announce that the Early Childhood Learning Centre (ECLC) at its Glen Waverley campus is the first school in Victoria to be awarded the Excellent rating by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). This is a significant achievement for the whole ECLC team, and acknowledges the exceptional standard of education and care being provided.

The Excellent rating is the highest rating a service can achieve under the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care, and Wesley College, Glen Waverley ECLC has become only the fifteenth service in Australia to achieve this outstanding recognition.

ACECQA’s Chair, Rachel Hunter, extended her congratulations saying, “Wesley College Early Childhood Learning Centre demonstrated excellence through a number of its programs, including its cultural exchange partnership with the Aboriginal people of the Fitzroy Valley community in Western Australia and its weekly English language lessons for bilingual and non-English speaking students,”

“These services and their educators deserve to be recognised for the high quality education and care they are providing and the contribution they are making to our community.”

“Quality education and care can make all the difference in a child’s life and educators at Wesley College Early Childhood Learning Centre should feel pride and professional satisfaction knowing they are part of providing the very best start for the children attending this exceptional service,” Ms Hunter said.
