War years

In 1942 Wesley College was commandeered by the Australian Army, and within a few weeks Wesley was told to find a new home. Where would we go? Would we survive or would the school just have to shut down and see its staff and students dispersed? “Come to us” said Scotch College, and so from 1942 – 1944 all students and staff were relocated to Scotch College, where they shared classrooms and playing fields.

On Monday 11 November, Scotch hosted a reunion of those boys who were there in that time. It was a wonderful occasion and to see that the 70 years that has passed had not weakened the bonds of friendship formed during those extraordinary years.
