Whitewater champion
Last weekend Robert Janiszewski, a St Kilda Road Year 7 student, competed in the Victorian School Whitewater Championships. Held on the upper Yarra River, Robert competed in the slalom course over 600m with 18 gates, comprising of 12 down-river gates and 6 up-river gates. At just 12 years old, Robert has achieved outstanding results, winning both kayaking and canoeing for his age group and, more impressively, he was the fastest junior paddler, under 15 years, in both kayaking and canoeing.
