Following the success of the Senior A Cappella Choir at the Waverley Eisteddfod, St Kilda Road music students have also been awarded The Annual Award for Choral Excellence – a prize for the best choir from all the choral sections in the competition. The campus also had several groups at Ballarat for the recent Royal South Street Competitions. Not only were they great ambassadors for the College, performing at their best, but they were able to hear some superb playing from other schools too. The Big Band picked up an Honourable Mention and the Senior Symphonic Wind Ensemble was awarded a very creditable 3rd place in the Advanced Section of Symphonic Bands.
