Instruments

Whilst care is taken to ensure that instruments are safe at school, all instruments should be clearly named and kept in a locker or in the upstairs storage areas in the Music School. There are a number of lockers available at the Music School, which can hold small instruments such as flutes, violins and clarinets. There are also storage areas for trumpets and trombones, as well as shelves for larger woodwind and brass instruments. Please make sure that you and your child know where instruments will be kept at school when not in use.

Instrumental Music Program

We are fortunate to have the resources for all students in Years 5, 6 and 7 to experience learning an instrument through the Instrumental Music Program (IMP). All instruments are to be clearly named and handled with care. When instruments are brought to school, they should be placed in the specific areas in the Music School. There should be no reason for any instrument to be played outside in the school grounds.
