Service details At Gallipoli. He saw service in France from 1916. He received a gun shot wound to his face on 9/10/17. After recovery, he returned to his unit in February but was sent to England on 22/4/18 for return to Australia aboard the Ruahine on 6/07/18. Died of pulmonary and intestinal tuberculosis and cachexia deemed 'attributable to service' at the MacLeod Sanatorium in Melbourne on 8/02/21.
