Wesley College is fortunate to hold an impressive art collection that has been developed through the generous benefaction of many members of the Wesley College and wider community.

Many readers will be familiar with the Alec Cato Collection, with its ‘who’s who’ of Australian artists such as Arthur Streeton, Fredrick McCubbin and Harold Herbert. However, the College is also the holder of an impressive collection of works by the distinguished artist Norma Bull who achieved notoriety for her portraits and English World War II paintings.

It was with great pleasure that the College collaborated with the Victorian Artist Society (VAS) to present a selection of Norma Bull’s artworks in their fantastic building in East Melbourne. The VAS hosted a delightful informal morning tea for SABS where members and guests heard from Rosemary Noble, exhibition curator from the VAS, and Kenneth Park from Wesley.

Our Curator of Collections, Margot Vaughan, was also on hand to answer questions and guests had the opportunity to view the other exhibitions and the magnificent VAS building.
