Stop press! Learn to make a stop motion animation video with our Junior School students

Not just a fun activity for our Junior School children, learning how to make a stop motion animation video was also a community-building activity during remote learning.

Creating a sense of community while students are apart is tricky, but our Junior School-wide ‘challenges’ have been a wonderful way to engage and involve students. Students are challenged to try something new, such as creating a stop motion animation video, and then encouraged to share their creations with each other. Through these activities, students have been connecting with peers and creatively exploring new ideas and concepts as well as indulging their interest in technology.

Watch Caitlin Price, Year 4, and Emily Watson, our PYP Head of Learning – Science, Technology and Social Studies at Wesley Elsternwick, show you how to make your own stop motion animation video:

See how our Senior students have been challenged to help others and reach a ‘service century’.
