Imogen Cooper selected for Geography Olympiad

‘I got in!’ Imogen and Ms McCormac celebrate her achievement

Year 12 student Imogen Cooper will take on a global geography competition in August this year as an Australian representative.

Imogen Cooper, Year 12, has been selected to represent Australia in the GeoOlympiad, to be held in August this year.

Imogen and her peers at Wesley competed in the Australian Geography Competition in 2020, a contest for Australian secondary school students, assessing their geographical knowledge and skills. The competition aims to encourage student interest in geography and to reward student excellence.

The combined results of Wesley students placed the College in the top 10 schools in Australia.

As one of the four top students from around Australia, Imogen has been invited to join the Australian team for the next level of competition, the GeoOlympiad. This international geography competition features teams from 58 countries competing across seven days.

Good luck to Imogen and the Australian team.
