Voices for the Voiceless

Voices for the Voiceless

Possible Dreams International’s breathtaking Voices for the Voiceless choir performed at Glen Waverley campus’ Middle and Senior School assemblies on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 March, as well as a public performance on the evening of Friday 8 March. Possible Dreams International is a non-profit organisation, which partners with rural and remote communities in southern Africa. They empower families and individuals living with extreme poverty, malnutrition and endemic disease.

Wesley College’s Glen Waverley campus and other schools (both independent and state), worked together with the Possible Dreams International committee, to present a series of Victorian concerts called, Voices for the Voiceless which aim to raise awareness and much-needed funds for communities in southern Africa. The members of the choir are a mix of young people, including orphans, amputees and children affected by HIV, from the most remote and rural areas of Swaziland.

The concerts included songs and the personal, powerful stories of those in Swaziland and the hope which Possible Dreams International brings them.
