School of Rock is the complete musical package and its winning combination of a great story, great songs, and totally engaging age-diverse characters will enchant our equally age-diverse audiences. It’s a show for the generations, consistently up-beat, funny and sad, pulsating and full of pathos. In other words, it’s classic Lloyd Webber, with music that ranges across the emotions and delivers, at the same time, a compelling message about how we grow up.

Dewey Finn is an out-of-favour rocker, expelled for his eccentricities from his former "No Vacancy" band. He cons his way into a job at a hoity-toity Middle School called Horace Green and turns the talented but repressed students of his assigned class into the hottest imaginable rock band – all without anyone noticing, and in a matter of weeks.  Dewey’s emotional honesty and truthfulness, and his passion for music, along with his growing affection for the kids, prove to be transformative in ways unimagined by the school authorities and parents alike. His bravura performance as a very different kind of teacher demonstrates that there are multiple ways we grow as individuals.

Lloyd Webber has spoken of School of Rock as "a story about the empowering force of music…and of how music brings joy to people’s lives and can change people for the better." It is a theme for all times and all ages, and our own Middle School students will bring all their amazing energy and performance skills to delivering it with honesty and conviction.
