About this session

How do you know when your child is ready for school? What does school readiness mean? Why is it important?

This session considers the importance of sending a child to school when they have the maturity to make the most of their learning. School readiness indicators and support strategies are provided to help parents make the very important decision of when to start your child’s school journey.

Guest Speaker: Melinda Vander Reest

Melinda Vander ReestMelinda is a passionate children's advocate with more than 28 years of experience working with young children and their families in Community and Independent settings. She has Early Childhood and Primary training as well as a Bachelor of Special Education and an Advanced Certificate of Child and Family development.
