Book Week
This year’s Book Week theme ‘Escape to everywhere’ was celebrated across Wesley’s Junior School libraries.
Elsternwick hosted children’s author Oliver Phommavanh and held a special Book Week breakfast that included quizzes and literary-themed cupcakes. Glen Waverley enjoyed an exhilarating musical ‘Super Duper’ presented by Perform Educational. At St Kilda Road, students read their persuasive speeches about ‘why books are a great way to help us escape’. Our students also reflected and voted on their favourite books.
Book Week wouldn’t be complete without everyone dressing up as their favourite characters. Students as well as staff transformed into their literary selves with enthusiasm!
